the not-so-funny explanation is that in an unusual posture you relax the muscles that are tense all day and need to recover.
if you stay in the sloppy posture for too long, other muscles and tendons that are used to less strain become tense, so it sometimes hurts to go back to a normal position. especially if your body has seen some shit in all the years you treated it like a disposable object.
