The movie premieres Thanksgiving Day on Disney+.
It’s a sequel to Enchanted.
James Marsden, Patrick Dempsey, and Idina Menzel also return.
Synopsis:
>Ten years after her happily ever after, Giselle, Robert, and Morgan move to a new house in the suburb of Monroeville. The community is overseen by Malvina Monroe, who has nefarious intentions for the family. When problems arise, Giselle wishes that their lives were the perfect fairy tale. The spell backfires, with Giselle rushing to save her family and her homeland of the Kingdom of Andalasia before the clock strikes midnight.
Looks cute
For the briefest of moments I thought Disney had decided to do a RL movie of the Disenchantment cartoon and boy, was I confused.
I still have some hope it’ll be decent as a fan of the original, but everything insiders have said indicated it’s not shaping up great…
They took over [Enniskerry village](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfNLh25QrMs) in Co. Wicklow, Ireland for it – a regular cycling pit stop. It was funny drinking coffee in a make-believe fairy tale village while ordinary weekend life goes on around you.
Giiiiiiseeeelle!
‘ENCHANTED’ (2007) is one of my favorite movies ever! It’s a fun reimagination of the usual Disney princess film. Really looking forward to the sequel.
Amy Adams absolutely crushed this role in the first one, I’m shamelessly excited for this as a mid-20s man.
I am excited about Maya Rudolph being an antagonist. It reminds of her antagonistic role in “The Good Place”
Idina Menzel better be singing in this one. How she didn’t get an incredible solo or participate in a single song in the original was a crime.
I’m excited for the movie, but man that’s a horrible wig
I am having the weirdest, visceral reaction to this picture. It is actually making me hate the entire movie. I don’t know why.
Wouldn’t this make like a billion dollars if it were released in theaters?
I love the cheap Halloween aesthetic. Especially with that black-ass wig and Burger King crown. Where is the taste? I love them both though.
Wasn’t this movie stuck in development hell for YEARS?
Bite my shiny metal axe!!
That peacock gown is amazing
Let’s Go Disney!
I know it’s just this one picture.
But why does it look so cheap? It looks like some made for tv thing you would see on Freeform.
I thought Disney already made a movie called Disenchanted? I must be thinking of something else.
Still pretty wild to me how they had Idina Menzel and didn’t get her to sing in the first one
I love Enchanted, so I hope Disney doesn’t fuck it up like they usually do with unnecessary sequels
disney has become the worst studios lately. What’s this nonsense content???
I really hope Disney doesn’t turn Giselle evil because she is older… and as we all know according to Disney if you are older and bitter then you’re the evil stepmother/witch/evil queen and you can’t be the innocent pretty and kind princess anymore.
Fuck Disney and their princess movie tropes…
The peacock feathers are kinda giving Adams some evil stepmother vibes. I wonder if they’re going to be playing around with that trope with Giselle trying to do everything to not fall into that classic fairytale trope.
