Fallout 5, GTA6, a new Red Dead or Elden Ring sequel…honestly don’t know if I will ever see them and it’s really depressing.

I remember seeing GTA 5 advertised on billboards EVERYWHERE when I was 9. Then I’d come home from school and see it on TV.

Now I’m 18 and in university. Still no GTA 6.

With a Spongebob username you (most likely) can’t be older than, what, 35? 40 at the most? That’s not even old. Like yeah some health issue may happen or a terrible accident but that’s been true since the day you were born. I’m 31 and am happy that I’ll hopefully be playing games for 30 more years or even beyond. If not…I won’t really know the difference I guess.

I’m confused. Are you complaining about the wait for an elden ring sequel? Didn’t it just come out a few months ago?

I’m sorry but you’re bitching about an Elden Ring sequel? Bruh, the game just fucking came out. It’ll take some time to make another one. Let the developers have a day off.

It’s alright, WWIII will hit when China decides to take over Taiwan. We won’t have any new games for a while then and we’ll all miss out or get turned into ghouls if we’re lucky

I remember going to the midnight release for gta5 when I was a freshman in highschool. I couldn’t wait for it to release. It felt like an eternity waiting for that game. Now I’m 25 (almost 26) years old just not giving a damn. I just kinda sit and wait patiently and it’s suddenly here. That’s how RDR2 felt, and same with Doom Eternal. I just don’t hop on the hype train anymore and it makes the wait so much easier.

Even if TES6 and Half Life 3 and whatever else were to come out someday, we’d still end up waiting for whatever comes next. Plenty of good reasons for taking care of yourself today, I’d say. The day will come, inevitably. We just gotta make sure we’re there to see it.

It seems like you’re looking for classics, but mostly looking at big name brands. If you haven’t already, you might consider branching out into smaller studios or variants on your favorite genres. For example, you cite a lot of open-world games with heavy RPG elements here, so you could take a look at Kingdom Come: Deliverance. There are plenty of great experiences out there.

Statistically speaking, no matter when you die, it is virtually guaranteed to happen between the announcement of a game and the time that game is released.

It’s ok man. Death is a natural part of the cycle. Don’t feel down because you will miss out. Instead be happy that your favorite ips will continue to entertain future generations.

Glass half full: a lot of people played the earlier games in these series and died before these came out. Be happy that you got to enjoy games that many consider to be masterpieces.

I have a friend I have games with for over 20 years he just turned 80 this year. Sometimes he’ll say something like this might be my last game, it’s pretty sobering tbh.

Fucking Elden Ring sequel… the first game has barely been out 3 months, and you desperately need a sequel right now…
