Dude with the tambourine is killing it
I’m curious, does this look 38 years old to you guys? Because it really doesn’t to me. They look like any other band dressed up for a show to me. Sting’s haircut is kind of dated, but otherwise…
But this was my era (I was 20 in 1985), so I suspect I may not be seeing things like others would.
I feel stupid for not knowing Sting was featured on this recording. TIL!
Best, most iconic opening guitar riff in history!
Did they already stop using the f-slur back then?
huh.
looks like he changed a few lyrics about Boy George in the second verse.
weird.
Mark Knopfler is so fucking cool
Oh, that’s the way you do it.
I didn’t realize Plastic Man from the Justice League was in the band
Best song sting ever sang
Mark Knopfler is such a legend 🤘
After hearing this CD, I never again bought an analog recording.
What came first MTV or this song?
Interviewer: And what band do you play with?
Singer: We’re in Dire Straits.
Interviewer: Yes, yes, okay, but which band?
Dude in the shades with the red jacket and Steinberger headless guitar is the old school coolest part of this
Possibly one of the best guitarist of all time.
I would have done anything to be in the front row of this entire event.
I love how Mark grins whenever Sting hits the harmonies.
One of the things that impresses me about Mark Knopfler is that he practices four hours each day. As great as he is, he still works at getting better.
I now want to wear Sting’s outfit everyday.
🔥🔥🔥
Godam i miss tje 80s
I got to talk to John illsley a little over a year ago! Great interview, hoping to chat with him again soon!
Any Willow fans (Disney+ show) out there? I like this song, and I was lukewarm OK with the series, but using this song for the credits of the finale was just…weird. It wasn’t a cover, so you have a guy singing about his microwave oven over pictures of fantasy characters. Totally random.
