Sometimes you just wanna kick back after a hard day of work and relax to the sound of gunfire, explosions and a near ceaseless outpouring of racial slurs and shrieking kids way too young to be playing this game.

I don’t mean to burst this bubble but it’s an acnh players courtyard, they used custom designs for the signatures! This player has had all these villagers living on their island at one time or another. Just wholesome animal crossing here

Edit: forgot to actually say it’s not from multiplayer interactions

Nah, Animal Crossing isn’t what it used to be, especially the personalities of the villagers. I don’t know if they fixed it, but last time I played New Horizons, their personalities felt ….empty

Also, I’ve met plenty of toxic people in animal crossing in multi-player. If you haven’t, then you just haven’t met enough strangers in AC multi-player

“Wholesome multiplayer gaming does exist” they say while displaying a screenshot of a single player’s choices in a game where a predatory loan shark tries to tear away everything you have.

It’s about 50/50 whether randos you invite to your animal crossing island will jump off the dock and go rob you of anything you left laying around and trample your flowers or give you free shit for no reason. This screenshot isn’t even related to ACNH multiplayer, these are all NPC villager names.

Norman Reedus and the Funky Fetus (Death Stranding) is also rather wholesome. As you connect distribution centers, playing the ultimate Postman simulator (also sneaking past ghosts) (also knocking out package thieves), other peoples’ assistive structures spawn into your world.

So you might take off to deliver some important supplies, and somebody’s already built a bridge across an inconvenient chasm.

You might even return the favor and fill up an auto-paver with materials to build a road for other connected players.

The whole system is amusingly filled by “Likes” (yes, like Facebook), which level your character up and give you buffs.

Feels oddly good when the game tells you, “Someone has used the road you built.” Like yay, I helped :3

Remember the hundreds, If not thousands of final fantasy players going every year to the in-game home of a guy who died irl to set off fireworks and pay their respects.
