CSM might be the most hyped anime ever. The trailer looks amazing and there’s no censorship which is awesome. Can’t wait for it to air in october

I absolutely loved reading this series. Animation is looking next level. I think this could be the next big mainstream anime hit that One-Punch Man was and MAPPA is certainly treating it like that.

The animation alone is going to put up a fight against Demon Slayer season 2, which is insane to say the least (Demon Slayer probably has one of the best animated fights of all time at the end of s2).

Also, no censorship at all, chainsaw ripping Denji’s head is just amazing.

After the crazy hype around it and how awesome the first trailer was, I ended up reading the CSM manga – the first manga I’ve ever read – and it was great. I’m really excited to see it animated and to have people experience the story. I hope it does find mainstream success.

This anime is going to be amazing. The amount of hype this series has right now is unreal, the manga is selling an absurd amount before the anime even comes out, more than a lot of big mangas that do have big animes as well. I hope it elevates it like the Demon Slayer anime did, because I think this has way more potential than Demon Slayer.

It’s already sold 15 million off of 11 volumes. That’s about 1.36 million per volume. For a comparison for a popular manga/anime in the same ballpark of per volume sales, Bleach had 1.75m per volume. Attack on Titan has 2.94m. These are both recognizable series that have been out for some time and have had animes that have been out for some time too. Chainsaw Man also has a third as many volumes as AoT and just over a seventh as many as Bleach. Usually it takes a lot more time/volumes to get a large count like that. I can’t remember the last time a manga had this level of sales with all that in mind. Spy X Family also has around the same amount of volumes, and only has 6m more in sales right now.

I’m a fan of Fujimoto but a lot of CSM ends up being sadly forgettable, I’m enjoying part 2 so I hope it won’t meet the same fate.

r/television and r/anime has convinced me that this will literally be the greatest piece of fiction ever written; better than Citizen Kane, better than Don Quixote, better than the Odyssey – and if it isn’t, I am going to hate it immensely and review bomb every episode. That’s what you guys have convinced me of.

This is one of the best manga I’ve read in a long time and I think the animation looks like it will do the source material justice. I can’t wait for October!

I’m hyped. The best thing about chainsaw man is that it utilizes “show, don’t tell” to a much greater degree than most other shonen manga. Fights in csm barely have any dialogue, instead letting the visuals do the work for you. No characters monologuing in their heads or infodumping during these fights, at least from what I could remember. They are closer to the fights in “Arcane” and “Castlevania” than shows like “Demon Slayer”.

This could be the one anime that gets a lot of non-anime fans on board.

The one thing I’m worried about from this trailer is that Chainsaw man was dark, but I think what makes it unique is that it never takes itself too seriously and it has tons of ridiculousness. I get this trailer is supposed to be hype material, but it makes it seem like the series is more Sasuke than Naruto

Belatedly, this isn’t something that I realized when reading the manga, but there’s something *extremely* Japanese about the fact that they believe that a “terrorist attack in America involving guns” would have any impact on how America views guns whatsoever (or would even get covered from that angle.) Unless one of those guns is shooting nuclear shells, it likely wouldn’t even have a significant impact on America’s gun death statistics.

shounen fans eating well in fall: chainsawman, boku no hero, bleach, spyfamily and mob psycho 3 are in the same season

  • JohnnyAK907

Never understand why they show clips while inserting random lines of dialogue that loosely fit said clips. It’s like the animation industry of the East utterly sucks at making trailers.

  • Redditer51

Between this, Demon Slayer, and the new Bleach trailer, what the hell are they feeding Japanese animators these days?

  • MyStationIsAbandoned

I hope this gets dubbed. I know anime snobs only like subs, but Jesus Christ. I missed 80% of this thing reading the dialogue.

  • Draxus335

That saw just exploded out of is face. Idk what I was expecting but that seems like a horribly painful power to use lol. I don’t read manga but the level of hype around this has me very excited to give it a watch.

  • silentstealth1

Wish more Anime actually took the time to look as good as possible. So often we get trash littered with still shots, poor lighting, poor cinematography, and no character acting. This looks unbelievably good.

  • peanutdakidnappa

I don’t know anything about this property and don’t understand the trailer because I’m an American but the animation looks nice

  • Cloak5

Ngl would’ve been pretty badass in the part where he’s pinned to the ground and it cuts to black to hear a chainsaw startup sound.

  • Better-Ad-9477

    I like powers VA.
Denjis was too dark and broody.
Makima sounded like a little highschool girl.
Hopefully the dub won’t disappoint me.

  • ev6464

I think this is the hardest series to sell people on because it is impossible to convey not just the batshit insanity, but the sheer emotion that comes from a series called Chainsaw Man.

There are so many scenes I can’t wait to see animated to simply see the reactions of the general public going “WHAT THE FUCK”
