Yes! Idc what anyone says the series S is a wonderful console for the price. Plus with XGP you really won’t have to worry about new games for awhile.

gotta say im a fan of this console for cloud gaming but i feel it holds back games which are multiplatform as they have to be able to run on a much weaker console.

It’s great for those who needs to be frugal.
But you really do get more value for your money with a Series X.
Besides the economic part, I just don’t see the reason for buying Series S than X,
if you actually can safely afford the latter.

One day hopefully. As a dad with a disabled wife and and 2 kids both with their owns challenges that require my attention a lot of the time, money goes to the most important things but it would be nice to get one one day.

This is unbelievable value. About 4 years ago I bought an Xbox one s brand new for £99. And got three months gamepass for £1. It got me back into gaming. Fair play to Xbox for this price, just before Xmas too. Hopefully helps others into the gaming world.

If you’re a broke ass student, how do you go wrong with a Series S, a monitor, game pass and a mouse and keyboard? Your gaming / media player device is taken care of. With the Edge browser you’re all good for Office365 with that mouse and keyboard hooked up.

Get a cheap laptop for Office365 in class and you’re good.

Yeah I mean the truth is that this is what the market will pay for it. Xbox is the least sought after console nowadays. Somebody has gotta be the “budget option” and o think Microsoft definitely takes the win for that.

I have read an article how game publishers are mad at Microsoft because they force them to make their triple A games playable on booth series S and X.

  • MarkGaboda

Some publishers are suggesting that this cheap hardware is the reason games are being locked into lower framerates. Next Gen games are being bottlenecked to make the games playable on this system. Not sure if that’s the truth or publishers just trying to put the blame on someone else but that’s what some say.

YES, PLEASE. As a person that lives in a underdeveloped country, is so good to know that I won’t have to wait for the generation to be ending to acquire a console. People that says “oh this console should never have launched, it will just drag the generation down”, have NO IDEIA what it’s life outside US/Europe, paying THREE TO FOUR MINIMUM WAGES (current price for Xbox Series X/PS5 in my country) for a new generation console (Series S is one and a half minimum wage, for comparison), paying 30% or more of your salary just to buy stuff at the supermarket etc. I live in a country where one of the most popular consoles is still the Xbox 360 and where a LOT of people still have the PS2 as their only console. These people are so egoistic and lack so much empathy that really makes me sick. If they lived one month in a different reality, they would be praising Xbox Series S, not criticizing it.

Can testify that this is a super fun little home entertainment machine. Pair it with Game Pass and you will have a lot of fun. I bought it because there were no PS5s or Series Xs in stock, and ended up being perfectly happy with it.

NO! WE MUST ONLY BE MAD AT MICROSOFT. FOR THEY ARE NOT SONY!

Seriously tho. You can’t built a pc that does what series S does at MSRP let alone that price point. And with inflation and competitors raising prices on their machines, I’m glad those less off dont get left behind.

    The more the merrier.

Damn my gf got one 7 days ago full price and my girlfriend’s child smashed the hdmi port 🙁 he ain’t going near me series x

I think it was a bad decision from Microsoft, because it creates an unnecessary Bottleneck for Game developers and kind of hinders development of “New Gen” Games. Playstation made the right decision to just skip the Blu ray drive and otherwise keep the same Hardware Power as the “Big Brother” in my opinion.
