The best view, in car view would make more sense if it was completely immersive instead of being a single screen in front of you

The ones that show your hands are equally as dumb becuase you see your real hands then a second set of hands in front holding a wheel. The camera on the dash looking out the windscreen is the most realistic view.

Sure it looks ridiculous, but I can’t complain or laugh that much, because I race while sitting in a chair 30 feet above and behind the back of my car and looking down from the heavens.

It depends on the person. I ‘ve used to drive with chase cam (3rd person) when the game didn’t have other options than chase cam, hood cam and bumper cam. And hood cam had low FOV angle, which was annoying for me.

I find the cockpit-Helmet camera with 85-90 FOV angle, the most realistic view to drive.

I’ve seen a lot of people using the “wrong” FOV angle(small fov angle, below 65), and thats cringy for me, but hey, it’s their choice. If you translate that “position”-angle to a real life car, it looks like the driver has their chest glued to the steering wheel, and their head way above the steering wheel, with their face almost touching the windshield. Its crazy. I think they believe that the monitor display replicate should the windshield of the car.

Maybe the cockpit camera with the low fov angle works for the triple screen setups. But for one display setup, its weird.

The Helmet camera with 85-90 FOV angle, Look to Apex Movement 100% its amazing.

AKA you are a tryhard in racing games

I do use hood cam a lot, for when there are possible obstacles on the ground

Hood view is the best for me. Or bumper view if hood view isn’t available. I want to like the dash view, but it’s so claustrophobic and so much of the world is blocked.
