They also step onto the seat arms and walk on top of the chairs through the crowd at some point in the show. When I went one of them had one foot on each arm of my chair and his nuts were dangling over my head for like a minute. It was a great show.
BMG is great fun
my parents took us to a blue man group show when we were little, but they had accidentally bought tickets to the wrong show. As my mom pleaded with the door people, I remember one guy saying to her, “we can get you in, but your children have to be part of the show”.
And they used us for this bit. I was extremely embarrassed as a kid but still enjoyed the show. I wonder if they always reserve a couple seats for people in similar situations who can’t get in for some reason.
I was in vegas and my wife and I saw Blue Man Group. As we walked in a person directing people to their seats asked us if we wanted to be in the show. We said sure and they moved us to some random seats in the back by the door. Then 30 something minutes into the show they got us to do this bit and we got to finish out the show in like the 4th row. It was funny and it gave us better seats but its totally staged.
