    prank joke.

Here our my highlights/key tid bits from this episode.

    1. Season 1 really didnt go into production until 2019-2020. Riot loves to say S1 Arcane was 6 years in the making, but 90% of really done in 1 year span.

    2. Without the initial no on Arcane, we would never of gotten the top notch music videos for Popstars and Rise.

    3. Hollywoods lack of interest for video game properties in mid 2010s.

    4. The Cold opening to ep 3 was originally the cold opening to the show. One of the most crucial changes imo was moving that to EP 3 and the vi/powder cold opening to the show. Thats a next level move and credit to peole for realizing it and showrunners to listening to their staff.

    5. How important head of studios/producers are in the success of a product. Director/writers get all the glory but here you can tell their hire of an outside producer was needed/succeeded.

Cool to see that they’re shining a light on some people that usually stay in the background. That producer chick was awesome.

And that gigantic production schedule gave me second hand anxiety.

I was shocked how good Arcane is. For me, it is easily one of the top film adaptations of any video game I have seen. I am really looking forward to the next season and I’m glad the team that developed it are getting their recognition with insight videos like this. They deserve it.

After the time skip, Jinx became needlessly annoying as a character, so much so that I felt it detracted from the way the story played out.

America has always slept on French animation. I’m so excited to see them get their due and for people to see the love and craft that goes on behind the scenes to create a beautiful product. I know anime took America by storm because there’s a billion shows and comics and movies that come out every year, but the French are at the top of their field. Their productions take so much longer and they produce less quantity because they approach it much more as an art form.

France also has the best animation school in the world, GOBELINS. Just check out the **student films** they produce, they’re incredible.

Is anyone else holding out hope that they conclude this series of behind the scenes videos with an announcement of season 2?
