I lived in East Bay…. was so glad it was a short run. I thought living in the bay would be exciting- it sucked
‘honey look someone’s breaking into that car. quick! post it on reddit’
Freddy Kruger lost his keys again.
Spray him with a hose

It is great to see the general public finally getting into EVs. The upper class gate kept the EV scene for so long, and now we finally have the average SF citizen getting in one to prove that anyone can.
Am I missing something here?
Believe I saw a news report about somewhere in California where people were just leaving their back hatches open so people wouldn’t bust any windows breaking in
People are actually leaving their trunks and doors open in the city so these POS don’t break out the windows. And if you use force to protect yours or other peoples property you can get in trouble for assault. Sad how fucked up society is getting and how easy it is to be a criminal.
I was watching some interviews on Skid Row and the tweakers said they need over 1g or $150-$200 of fentanyl per day, just to keep functioning, and that doesn’t even get them high anymore. That’s atleast $4500-$6000/mo of just drugs, which is about average national sallary. They have to steal and sell $200 of various shit every day to get their fix. And consider those things have to be worth atleast $800 for anyone to buy them from a tweaker, so like $15K-$25K/mo of damage, not accounting for things like having that window replaced.
If the owner had sentry mode switched on, they would have received a lovely video of the whole thing on their phone. With OP cruising by in the background..
What’s the deal with car break-ins in San Francisco? Why are they so common specifically there
Ahhh. Forgetting your car keys. Happens a lot in SF.
For all the mfs saying OP should have done something, then you obv have never met a thug or a hobo irl, mfs gon pull out a rusty fork on ya
I grew up in SF….I moved away 12 years ago and came back for the first time a few weeks ago…..holy fuck!! Its turned into a half vacated shell of what it used to be and I had to leave Civic center BART station because I was getting a contact high from all the people smoking crack. This city is as fucked as the righties are saying. Very Very Sad. It does still have its chram….its just a bit hidden.
James May has fallen on tough times
I’m a little surprised there hasn’t been a problem with vigilantes yet.
He wore an old timey burglar sweater
San Francisco actually turning into night city, shit gonna be wild if the timeline is accurate
In broad daylight while others are literally taking photos?
SF, where the city and activists care more about thieves than honest citizens.
I’ve been saying for years that pro-gun people have to admit our gun laws aren’t working and we need to try something else.
Those of us left of center have to admit whatever they’re doing (or not doing) in San Francisco isn’t working either…
Plot twist: OP is the getaway driver
It’s not just SF. I believe New Orleans leads the country in car breakins. It’s happening everywhere.
OP’s first thought as he drives by.. “internet karma”
OP: “Hol up, let him cook”
Newsflash: this happened to me on O’Farrell in ‘91 and the cops didn’t give a shit back then either.
Package thief, they break that specific window & release the seat lock to see what’s in the trunk. If there is anything they will then gain full entry to grab it. They work in gangs of 2 or more usually with an accomplice in a car watching from a short distance, like about where OP is sitting.
At least he can’t steal the catalytic converter…
Waldo is burglarizing cars now?
Until the people start protecting their own property it won’t change.
Cops won’t or aren’t able to do it, so the people will need to.
Hear me out, what about a serial killer who only targets these ppl.
What even is the allure of moving to a big city where it costs 10x to live basically anywhere but?
I wld have a hard time not driving by WAYYYY too close. hate fg thieves
You know it’s fucked when someone unironically recommended just leaving your windows down to show you have no valuables.
This is why SF is a shithole. People like this need to be removed from society. They are a net negative and have 0 value to a functioning society.
Are the police in SF just useless? You’d think a city worth so much would wanna protect it.
There are signs all over San Francisco that warn that the area is a dash and grab hotspot. The signs are plentiful near the golden gate. It’s crazy that they’ll even do this during broad daylight. But then again it’s such a big city it’s almost too easy for them to get away with it.
So if the trend is the police will not respond or make an arrest, what is stopping the pubic from bludgeoning these people with bats and pipe?
