Great story.
I am so jealous of Crowe’s life.
He’s just a couple of years older than me, so I grew up at the same time with same music.
I love *Almost Famous*, but that wasn’t so much a “behind the scenes” film as it was a 24 minute promotional ad.
The Cameron Crowe movie I really want to see the “behind the scenes of is *Aloha*, because I don’t understand how that film ever saw the light of the projector bulb.
This movie getting critically praised saved it, because it was a big time box office bomb when it came out.
If you can find it to watch, the extended cut of the movie is *way* better (it’s not one of those totally unnecessary post-theatrical cuts). You get back a lot of fun dialogue writing, and Penny is more of a developed character.
