Good use is space.
My recommendation for the books – get a joiner to build a bookshelf and storage unit for under the bench there, utilise that negative space and make a wee feature out of it.
Really interesting that they use plaster render as a cladding in Japan – and it looks like a wooden soffit in the outside? Is that Japanese Maple?
I would be interested to hear how thick your exterior walls are and if you have double or triple glazing? I would expect a house in the mountains to get quite cold in winter – what’s your heating?
Hate to be crude but how much does a house like that cost to make or build in Japan?
Guy needs a small barn for garden stuff and dry goods.
