Correction, a child who doesn’t understand what’s going on being used to protest by people that think this will grant them immunity, because, who would attack a child.

edit – Funny, all I said is that children should not be used as pawns in propaganda, and so many people read so much more into it. Maybe examine your prejudices?

Now if there’s one thing you can be sure of, it’s that nothing is more powerful than a young boy’s wish. Except an Apache helicopter. An Apache helicopter has machine guns AND missiles. It is an unbelievably impressive complement of weaponry, an absolute death machine.

I don’t understand why someone’s right to easily get a gun supersedes my children’s right to be safe at school. That my small children even have to go through active shooter drills is appalling, and yet somehow this opinion is considered controversial by some.

A child parroting her parents over simplistic views on an over politicized issue with no simple solution.

Edit: Thank you for the silver! Was not expecting that on a hot button issue.

Also, prohibition does not work in the States. If it did organized crime wouldn’t have exploded in the 20s and the drug war would have been won long ago. This is a culture problem not an inanimate object problem.

Inb4 people complaining about “woke kids” or “forcing politics on children,” as if not wanting to get gunned down in school by a rando with a tool specifically designed for killing lots of humans is something only adults could come up with.

I became radicalized against guns after Joe The Plumber went on TV and said “your dead kids don’t Trump my gun rights” and every Republican nodded along in agreement.

Dead kids ABSOLUTELY is a reason to stop this gun madness. So ever since I have been thoroughly in the “fuck all your guns” camp.

I don’t care what the protest is about or what views people have to express. Can we at least agree that children shouldn’t be used as political props? I don’t care if it’s some pro-life, PETA, gun control, CRT, or what ever. Seeing children used as props is gross. I bet across the street at some pro-gun rally some other little girl has a very similar sign portraying a different opinion. I also bet that she is probably just as confused about it all as this little girl is.

So there are over 400 million guns legally owned in the US and atleast 70 million gun-owning individuals. 99.00625% of those guns are never used in homicides (Including justifed). 11,000 people a year are arrested for murder not all of those murderers used a gun. Thats less than 0.015% of 70 million people. Restricting everyone’s rights mathematically does not make any sense, and it only treats the symptoms, not the cause of these tragic incidents.

Raising three kids does cost a lot more then a gun, that’s for sure.

(/s in for the dumb people who can’t take a joke)

    ….

Okay. That’s it. If I were a Senator or a Representative I would make it my life’s work to make sure that children all get access to firearms. Every. Single. One. Black, White, Hispanic, Pan-Pacific, Inuit, or whatever ethnicity. They all get to go sponsored camps where they learn to hunt and shoot. I’d pay it out of my own pocket. Hell I’m about to donate to the NRA right now. Why?

Because this is amateur first year psych student BS and this blatant attempt at emotional manipulation that is being stooped to because you just can’t win a damned Constitutional argument is so degrading to not only me, the child you just used, and every person who has the displeasure of looking at this nonsense that I’d be damned sure to make it my life’s work to ensure that you knew that the day you decided you thought you knew people enough to sway them with a picture of a child was about the worst mistake you could have made for your cause.

And you folks wonder why not enough people want to support your causes. You want action on gun control? Fine. Don’t treat me or my **fellow Americans** like some hamster in a maze you drop a few treats in to make them go the path you want.

I’m sorry but this argument is just dumb. Using the same logic I could just as easily have a sign that says “Children>knives” or “children>cars” or “children>_____ insert whatever thing you want to ban”. This is not a binary choice between children and banning guns.

I just want to say, I have never bought a firearm, personal sale or at a shop, that I have not been required to fill out a background check. And I can be charged at minimum with a gross misdemeanor for negligently allowing access to a child or someone who is barred from owning a firearm.

So either my state has been ahead of the curve since at least 06 when I made my first purchase, or these calls for background checks and such are a bunch of BS to feed the people who don’t know that regulations already exist. I’m ok with what we have, I’m not ok with making a list of who has what and keeping it in a national database, that’s a risky maneuver

I’m fairly confident that child is being used as a prop for their parents to protest gun violence.

Also the gun depicted isn’t an AR15 due to its lack of pistol grip.

  • YovaT

I really hate when people use their kids to push political topics like this. The doesn’t even know what the fuck is actually going on, and here they stand on public display holding a sign that’s not even true.
