Probably unpopular opinion but here goes:

Pits are adorable and super friendly, but they can also become human shredding machines at the drop of a hat in the wrong situation.

I’m a huge dog lover and a professional trainer but IMO there is no reason for breeding pits and no real reason for anyone to own one. AND if anyone does end up owning one (hats off to anyone adopting one of the many many abandoned pits), IMO they should have a specific permit that they would get after passing some minimal test that shows they know how to handle and manage such a powerful dog. Restrictions should also apply (like mandatory muzzle when in contact or around people other than the owner, and mandatory insurance)

    Brooklinn Khoury

She had some more recent post-op pics on her Instagram a minute ago, but now it is “page not found”.

You can find other pics and videos though through Google…

That YouTube play button is doing a lot of work for the people of r/All who might not want to see a facial injury to that degree. Poor girl.

A buddy and I had to help pry some assholes pit bull off another dog at the park once.

Other pit bulls I have met are love bugs, but I trust none of them and would never own them.

Look, pitbulls, the animals, are blameless….. BUT, no one should fucking own one the same way no one should own a tiger. You can’t have a well trained tiger, and you can’t have a well trained pitbull. Pits are engineered to snap and chew on live meat, you can’t train that out of it regardless of how well behaved yours looks.

Pit bull owners should be made to buy public liability insurance for attacks like this. If they find the cost of that insurance is so high, they should look at the statistics.

Look at all the mentally ill pit bull fanatics coming in to defend a dog breed that commonly does this. Hmmm dog bred for fighting wonder why it’s aggressive and strong. Even a 1 percent chance that your dog will do this is too high these people don’t care about anyone else they think they are so righteous saving this poor puppy. Get a golden retriever or something.

Poor girl. When I was 7 my aunts Doberman bit my face. They had to rush me to the hospital. Luckily it was just punctures in my cheeks & lips.

I have a tiny dog now, and still kinda get nervous when she licks my face. The fact that Brooklinn hasn’t let it effect her psychologically is a testament to her constitution.

    Hope she gets well soon.

Was out for a walk with my 1 year old and the lady walking the adult pit bull got mad at me when I decided to cross the street when walking be her and the giant beast. Sorry ma’am you have zero control over that dog and my son would be the first thing the thing goes for.

A good friend of mine was mauled by a pit mix after living with it for years, it just snapped one day. Perfectly kind patient dog owners, got as a puppy from a friend, not from a rescue.

They should just be banned. Mandatory neuter/spay, registration, and then just let them go extinct.

My closest local playground in Toronto is Mad Max for dogs. I’m constantly shielding my toddler from unleashed dogs that look and act exactly like pit bulls but apparently aren’t because they have been prohibited in Ontario for decades.

Does anyone have the link to that youtube compilation of people being interviewed about pitbull attacks, just the part where they are saying the dog never did anything like this before / it was completely unexpected?

  • 07WoefulMatrix

Some fucking cocksucker mod from r/mademesmile banned me for sharing pitbull attack and fatality statistics, saying it was needlessly spreading hateful misinformation of “these sweet animals”.

r/banpitbulls is support community for victims and offers eye opening statistics and realities of this breed.

Of all fatal dog attacks in the US, pitnulls are responsible for ~68% – 70% of them.

    2nd place? Rottweilers….at 10%…..
