So I don’t follow hockey but why was 74 just hanging out behind 12 instead of trying to get around him and inbetween 12 and the puck? Seems like even if the puck got passed out normally he would be in no position at all to defend?
Plenty of angles showed it was hit into the net above the crossbar. Of course, the replay officials ignore that because, well, Buffalo. Cool play, but shouldn’t have been called a goal.

This is going to be tried so many times now in youth leagues (if it wasn’t already).
When Mike Legg scored “The Michigan Goal” in the ’90s every kid started trying to pick up the puck on their stick and wrap it around the net.
Kids in the ’20s…… challenge accepted!
This is an incredible goal. Dude’s look just shouts, “Holy fuck it actually worked!”
This is something steph curry would do if he played hockey
Jaw dropped.
This changes everything
he bounce if off the goalies head?
Wow
shake and bake
Never seen that before. In fact, never thought of it.
Watch this make the 10th spot on sportscenter meanwhile some dudes 1,000th dunk of his career gets #1.
So much nicer than McDavid’s overrated goal
Always happens to Buffalo teams.
So I don’t follow hockey but why was 74 just hanging out behind 12 instead of trying to get around him and inbetween 12 and the puck? Seems like even if the puck got passed out normally he would be in no position at all to defend?
Instant classic.
This is gonna be the new knuckle puck … Everyone trying this
I thought high sticking was a penalty? I am not terribly familiar with hockey rules and would love a breakdown
That’s how you put the biscuit in the basket, son!
the fact the he didn’t even believe what he just did, and laughs his head off about it makes it even better
Goal of the year. Game over.
Them Anaheim dudes are playing som charismatic hockey rn
Plenty of angles showed it was hit into the net above the crossbar. Of course, the replay officials ignore that because, well, Buffalo. Cool play, but shouldn’t have been called a goal.
What in the knuckle-puck, triple-deke, Flying V, Mickey Mouse Gordon Bombay just happened??
Is that not a high stick?
(legit question)
For some reason, I thought the guy behind the goal bounced it off the back of the goalie to get the goal.
Assist can’t believe it either
I don’t even watch hockey often but this is so goddamn tasty.
This is fucking incredible.
That’s honestly one of the most creative and awesome plays I’ve ever seen. Geez.
I can only get so erect
Did that bounce off the goalies lid?
Was that a legal goal? All I know about hockey is from the Mighty Ducks movies.
That’s some D2 – The Mighty Ducks shit right there.
How do I pull that off in the NHL game?
This highligjt is a perfect example of exactly why I cannot vibe with hockey.
It’s the closest I’ve ever seen all the action in one shot yet I cannot see the goal go in.
There’s something about seeing the object break the goal that brings a certain feel to a game. I’ve never been able to cleanly follow the puck.
The look on Zegras’ face is absolutely priceless. It’s saying ”Dude, is that level of skill even allowed?”
Josh McDaniels designed this play because Buffalo’s defense was not expecting the pass.
Wheel snipe selly boys
This is ridiculous
It’s really weird with a live call and a slow mo video lol
Gretzky’s office open eh?
Even if this play fails it still results in a loose puck right in the goalie’s skates with a forward on the doorstep.
Very cool to see the Ducks pulling a play from their early days under Coach Gordon Bombay.
Get yourself a partner that looks at you the way Zegras looks at Milano
As a lifelong Ducks fan, I can’t explain how amazing it feels to have this kid on our team. I’m just giddy with excitement over here.
