We had a 100lb “puppy” stay with us for a week and he had no concept of boundaries. When he got too intense our dog would literally hiss at him like a cat.

This just looks like a poorly trained dog.
Awww I miss my friend who looked exactly like your dog. (I’m guessing it’s the one on the couch lol) How old is he/she?
Aw, he just wants to play and will push until someone agrees to play with him.
Bernedoodle?
Single dog syndrome. Just like single cat syndrome. Puppies with only humans as companions don’t learn boundaries or how to play bite without cause injuries. With cats this usually means they become obsessive with hands that play with them and bite/scratch strongly. With puppies this means that they don’t know how to play with other dogs, don’t understand the cues, and eventually cause pain/issues/distress in the other dog that manifest in a variety of ways. But in other words, obviously one dog was bothering another that was quite obviously not having it as there were no return plays/calls and this is just a bad pet owner letting an undertrainded pet harass an older pet for fake internet points. Bad human, bad, stop it.
Nice bernedoodle, got one too, she would’ve put that dog in its place, especially when it’s in her face
Bonus Journey material, the embodiment of optimism. [She doesn’t just try to catch the ball, she believes she can.](https://youtu.be/4bPl5kvq7rg) She is an extremely happy, chill dog, never been “mad” in her life. Our guest was just a little much for her, but he was not a bad dog…just needed training and attention. He really was still in a “puppy” phase, he can’t help being enormous 🙂
Seems like the dog needs some anti-harassment training
Me when I make a new friend.
I gotta say, I didn’t even know dogs could hiss lol
Lmao what a sweetheart
Congratulations on the bilingual dog.
Puppy’s should stay around older dogs so the older dog teaches them boundaries
That just looks like dogs playing and neither of those dogs are close to 100lbs.
This doesn’t belong on this subreddit. Don’t get me wrong, animals can make some very funny noises. This video isn’t depicting a scenario with your dog hissing for funsies.
The lab is trying to assert dominance on your doodle. She’s trying to speak up for herself in the best way she can. Given her passive nature (from what you described about her personality), the lab should not be allowed to keep harassing her like that.
That is because your dog is stupid.
Looking forward to seeing the 100 lb savage. I hope it’s as cute as that 75 lb lab.
That dog gets zero attention at home
