one of the funniest things I ever heard was when my friend called Terry “Tim Burton with dignity”
damn he almost cried talking about heath ledger. gilliam is a real one
Great interview. I really like this series.
Well this seems like a pretty believable refutation to those who think Heath Ledger’s death was due to playing the Joker.
I just watched The Fisher King for the first time. He puts all of his emotion into his films. He is truly a great filmmaker.
All his films are phenomenal. Love Gilliam.
This man is a master at his craft.
*the zero theorem*
12 Monkeys.
Makes you wonder if there’s some kind of new fucked up strain of Covid brewing around K&A…
Braaaaaa-zilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Does he talk about what he did to Ellen Barkin?
My absolute favorite director. Everything he has made I have loved. Even Tideland. He makes me want to be a director. But Ill settle to just work in a theatre for now. The man is an absolute genius and a wonderful and hilarous person.
Anyone who praises both Disney’s *Pinocchio* and Trey Parker’s & Matt Stone’s *South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut* in the same breath has excellent taste.
Would not have pegged him as a non-superhero guy. Makes sense, though.
I saw this one a few weeks ago. He’s almost seems like an eccentric kid in an old man’s body. Definitely enjoyed his energy.
Saw the one in this series with Sean Baker earlier today too. Dude said his favorite movie of 2020 was Tenet. Very interesting how the movie is seen by film fans vs directors…
His laugh reminds me of that if Penn Jillett
Well that was wholesome as heck.
Terry Gilliam is probably my favorite filmmaker. What a treasure.
