Truly an iconic shot. This is the scene after she has been caught embracing Ashley, a married man, and she shows up to a party looking like this knowing full well that everyone there knows. Forgive the drag lingo, but this is the definition of C*NT.
If you haven’t seen the movie in a while, I definitely recommend listening to Jacqueline Stewart’s preface on HBO Max, which helps to recontextualize the film, highlight its role in perpetuating racism, and generally prepare you to view the film critically.
