It’s Enrico Palazzo!
This won’t ever not make me laugh.
That umpire is the spitting image of global opera sensation Enrico Palazzo.
Still better than Angel Hernandez.
Ahh Leslie was well rated
The whole baseball scene is one of my favorite comedy sequences of all time. It’s not stop laughs for like 10 minutes
When he starts yelling “STEE-RIIIKE THREEEE!” before the ball even makes it to the plate, kills me every time.
Hey! It’s Enrico Palazzo!
I’ve watched this movie so many times! Had it on Bootleg VHS.
Classic Nielsen.
[Great write up on Enrico Pallazzo when he sadly passed away](https://www.espn.com/general/page2/story?id=5863233&src=desktop)
I love this movie
The weirdest thing about this scene for us LA people is that it was shot in Dodger stadium. This was late 80s I believe so it was pre-Disney owning the Angels; can’t imagine why they couldn’t have shot it at the Big A unless it was a lot more expensive or something.
A little tight in the crotch!
“Oh Frank, everyone deserves a friend like you!”
“*BWAAAAAAAAAaaaaAAaaaaaAAAAaahhhhh*”
Nice to see dodger stadium in its old glory.
His delivery and hype when saying Strike always get me. Lmao.
Not far off from modern umping.
There’s nothing more entertaining than The Ump Show, it’s the reason we watch baseball, after all.
Every time I go to a ball game I always think of this scene. “Steeeeerikeee!”

A good and old film, I watch it every day with a smile on my face))))0
