It’s not cool to go to jail or deal drugs. However, he certainly turned his life around and is an inspiration to others. He is a very talented actor and comedian.

Years ago I went to a college lecture given by Mike Reiss, a writer/producer on “The Simpsons,” who.also created the somewhat less successful animated series “The Critic” with Jon Lovitz.
He mentioned that when ABC cancelled “Critic,” they said that its tone was “incompatible” with Tim Allen’s “Home Improvement” (the show that followed it) and they were worried that it would “damage” Tim’s show.
Reiss replied, “Tim Allen is a convicted cocaine dealer, but you’re worried that my stupid little show might ‘damage’ him?”
