I’ve always wondered how/where winter athletes practice these sports. Like where does one casually think, “ah yes, I would like to Luge,” and have access to like a luge track? Same for Bobsled. and like, especially athletes from Jamaica or the global south in general?

The Bobsled Team and Usain Bolt signs/merchandise are EVERYWHERE in Jamaica. The movie wasn’t that popular there. Too many dimwits thought the Disney version was loosely based on fact. Yes, Jamaica had a bobsled team in 1988. No, to just about every other part of it although they actually did have a song and used the real ABC footage.
