The biggest offender is the bethesda fallout games. Why does “drink out of radioactive puddle” use same button as “looting enemies”? Why can I even do that? Why does the animation play in slow motion while I slap every other key trying to cancel the animation?
Why can’t I cancel the animation?
All I can do is look on in horror, as my character slowly bends over at the waist, dips their hand into a two inch deep puddle in the middle of a city street, and slowly sips the unknown liquid (either urine or used reactor coolant, probably both) like they’ve just found the grail.
This happened to me in Bloodborne, I’ve never unplugged something as quick as I unplugged my PS4. Managed to do so before save completed & without corruption of data.
Recently in Starfield I picked up a trash can and the entire underbelly of New Atlantis went ballistic and the UC saw fit to use deadly force to stop the nefarious trash can mover….
Lately I’ve been playing mostly genshin and dungeons and dragons online.
In DDO Q is used to rotate between interactables.
In genshin if fires elemental burst (most powerful attack)…
Reminds me of me and my friend who went from GTA Online to Red Dead Online. We press F to get into a car, in Red Dead Online, it’s punch. So we both accidentally punched our horses.
One of my most memorable rdr2 moments was the first random event I came across. I think the guy was dying from a snake bite, and I thought it was neat and I wanted to help him. Instead, I accidentally shot him in the face and gave myself the biggest jump scare I’ve ever experienced in my entire gaming history
I had been playing rdr2 then went to ghost of tushima “shit sorry horse wrong button” then did rdr1 and “shit fuck I didnt want to square up with the shop keeper”

One of the reasons I love the Xbox’s button mapping feature.
this is my favorite concept from gaming as a whole.
Ah, gotta pay for my groceries… whoopsie pulled out my minigun with explosive ammo and gunned down 30 people. meant to hit A not B
The button to choke and kill the nearest npc in rdr2 (ps) is triangle
The button to ride your horse is triangle
Unless it’s Nazeem…fuck that guy
“I plead misclick, your honor.”
What game has R2 as the talk button tho? 😀
I just accidentally stabbed him 32 times!
I meant talk, not rob

**”Ezio didn’t kill civilians”**
Aah yes, this brings back the memories of choking an innocent npc instead of mounting my horse in RDR2.

Even in PC this happens. E and F for interact being the worst offenders.
Always takes a few misslicks to adjust to the game you’re playing right now.
lol I know Riften when I see it
I tend to change hotkeys as soon as I can in any game, especially RTS. No reason to burden my mind with endless different control schemes
Or I play too much Skyrim, or this is Riften.

Lots of burst misfires

On PC, F button:
GTAV=Get in car.
Just Cause 3= Throw Grenade (at car)
Play through it you coward.
Alternative ending: everybody’s dead in the 5th panel
Is that Riften?
