A film based on the seasonal pop up stores!?
As long as they include the official [Theme for Spirit Halloween.](https://youtu.be/77cMmCVBT3g)
Synopsis:
>A group of kids hide inside a Spirit Halloween store until it closes with the hopes of enjoying a night of mischief and adventure. Unfortunately for them, the store is also inhabited by an “angry evil spirit” (Christopher Lloyd) who possesses everything inside the store — including some creepy characters — and it doesn’t seem to enjoy the kids’ company.
No Nick Lutsko = no movie
I refuse to believe this is real
People are going to see “Spirit Halloween” on the movie marquee and think the theater shut down
So is this like direct to dvd in the store, is this getting a theatrical release, what’s going on?
It better be just 90 minutes of browsing the store and trying to figure out how to rationalize the need for 5 costumes, 20 props and that cool new animatronic spider
It’s like nobody learned anything from Coupon: The Movie
So… Will this be released in August and only be playing in the dirtiest, cheapest dollar theaters serving three week old popcorn and flat RC Cola by October 31?
This concept would be better as an Office Space type comedy, slice of life with Spirit the store as just a backdrop.
…what
And it’s got Jaden Smith in it? Boy this will certainly be a film.
What
I thought The Munsters was the Spirit Halloween movie
Unsure about the film, but the fact that the Spirit store is in a old ToysRUs is promising that they’ve put even a basic amount of thought into this.
Lol at spirit Halloween taking over a defunct toys r us from the looks of the poster
The original script was for Ross Dress for Less: the Movie, but the studio shut it down and then this poster just showed up.
I really appreciate that they stayed true to using a closed down Toys R Us in the poster. It hits close to home even though it hurts. Much like my neck did after playing demos of video games there.
Did anyone comment yet that’s an old Toys R Us building on their poster
This is either gonna be fucking awesome or the worst film ever made, or probably both
I thought Rachel Leigh Cook retired from acting?
I love how it’s clearly inside an old Toys R Us, just like all Spirit Halloween stores
apparently the working title for this film was
…Tax Evasion
I hope Nick Lusko is doing the sound track.
Why did they erase “Clockwork Orange” and write something else?
My 7 year old son is borderline obsessed with Spirit Halloween. Like, can tell you which animatronics the store had for each year, each theme, watches store walkthroughs religiously. I would usually roll my eyes at this but he’s going to lose his shit, so I’m really happy for him.
2022’s Mac and Me
The plot resolution is that they just need to last until dawn on November 1, and the building will magically return to an empty building For Lease.
Edit: ooh, but if they don’t get out before Dawn they’ll be cursed to remain Spirit Halloween employees forever! Maybe?
Coming to an abandoned theater near you (for a month or so…)
Why isn’t Nick Lustko in this!
I feel like this movie was made for the McElroy brothers to riff pretty hard on.
Missed opportunity for the tagline to say “coming to an empty department store near you”
Obligatory Nick Lutsko

They should make a movie based on [Girls’s Costume Warehouse.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4rUiV_Hh74)
Spirit Halloween should only play in theaters where the previously played movie failed
