I bet there was a lot of flicking through the rule book before Poland conceded that one.
Just wondering, will both teams be fined for wearing shorts? /s
Thats insane
Man, normally I don’t care about sports but the olympics feels like such a new time to watch sports that you normally wouldn’t watch.
Looks like a comedy skit where they use CGI
I didnt know that was even legal
I must say, never seen THAT before!
My lord, is that legal?
Volleyball as a sport sets itself up really well for some insane moments like this!
He isn’t going to jail for that is he?
is pronounced Nicolai, not Nicolai
It’s Nicolai
What language are the announcers speaking? The language sounds beautiful!
Happy that volleyball getting some love on here…and not even the US team!!
Too much haikyuu
[deleted]
That is some Haikyuu level shit right there
What gets me most is how this amazing team isn’t celebrating together.
Kageyama would be proud
His teammate with the solo celebration lol.
Forza Italia
I’m surprised he is allowed to run under the net in to the opponents court
Even video games do not allow this!!!
Anybody have a non v.reddit link? The ball is about 1 pixel in this video…
Just here to downvote all the obnoxious comments grandstanding about uniforms
For people wondering, yes you can go under the net in both indoor and outdoor volleyball at the pro level as long as you do not interfere with the other teams play. If you played in junior leagues,, highschool, and some colleges, these were probably called as foot faults, so it is often a shock to see them go under the net or onto the other side of the court in pro leagues and the olympics.
Also, if the ball goes outside the antenna on the first hit, the teammate can return it back to their own court as long as it also goes outside the antenna. It’s pretty rare to see, and it makes clips like this all the more impressive to have that game sense and control under pressure to get it back on their own side. Great clip.
Not even Italian, but couldn’t help be happy for them
That was an impressive feat of athleticism and game knowledge.
Gonna see a similar play in haikyu now haha
I don’t know much about volleyball, could someone tell me why there are only two players in each court?
I thought there were supposed to be more.
Watched this at least ten times. I love sport at its best.
As an American:
Do all of these Athletes have parents with Cancer that are also so supportive? Or is it their kids that have the disabilities that they’re supporting?
Also, how can you possibly watch this without pop up ads on the stream or The Rock popping mid-play to tell us how great it is to be an American at the Olympics?
Also, which one of these teams is the American one? Judging by the coverage, I’m under the impression that there are no other countries participating in the Olympics this year.
