I’m so happy for you man, made my morning 😁
My youngest is saying it non stop the last couple of weeks, heart melting everytime.
Especially cause it was said before mommy, so I won that round!
That’s awesome. It’s the same thing your wife calls me. Congrats!
Beautiful moment right there…also that hair is incredible!
Congratulations.
Don’t put your kids on the internet for likes and upvotes.
Man that boy has got some hair lol. Little Bruno. Super cute video man happy for you.
congrats, he’s gonna talk a whole lot real soon haha.
Mazel tov.
Plot twist: had been calling him Hector for the last six months.
I married a single mom and adopted her daughter when she was two, so it hit really hard for me the first time she called me daddy.
Of course that was after the time she sat on her mom’s lap and proclaimed “mommy, you best person ever ever ever ever.” Then she turned to me and said “And you’re Dave.” Oh my god I laughed for about a half hour straight. Kids are incapable of malice, she was just stating the obvious. I was, in fact, Dave.
My daughter is 15 now, best decision I ever made. 🙂

As a relatively new father, I’m so heartwarmed to see men being positive and affectionate with their kids like this, I grew up in a generation where distance is the norm and I think the best part about the modern era is the conversation has moved us all closer to our feelings.
I kiss my son, snuggle him, praise him for the slightest thing because I cant help myself, Im so overwhelmed by him and he should know that.
Amazing
How old is he? I have a two-week old daughter (our first) and I can’t wait for the day she can speak!
My son called me dad for the first time last month, tears inducing.
Then it turned out he calls me dad only when the cat is around. Its not me hes calling dad.
Hes named the cat dad
Wow! Compliment! It’s a wonderful moment. But… You are Pavarotti! You are the same as Pavarotti!
My 1 year old daughter refuses to say Mom but her first word and the one she uses the absolute most is Dad. She runs around saying it to anyone she can get to listen even when I am not there. People tell my fiance all the time she must really love her dad. My fiance doesn’t like it but I love it so much lol I have been working on getting her to say Mom but I secretly hope it lasts a while longer.
How does your son have that much hair? My kids were bald until they were 2! (Slight exaggeration but not really.)
You look exactly like what I expect a typical Redditor to look like
It’s an amazing feeling
No feeling like it man, enjoy it now before he’s talking shit to you in Fortnite!
Congrats fella!
We have a 4yo foster child, and after 2 months or so, she called me daddy out of the blue. We have our own children at home, so not unexpected, but it really hit me for some reason.
Love it! Greatest thing to hear is my 3 year old daughter call me dada.
I remember that moment with my son. It was his first understandable word. I decided to not eat him that day.
Your son has absolutely amazing hair.
It’s wonderful, isn’t it. Have 3kids. Always makes my day
In terms of physical care, 0-5 are the hard years but they’re also some of the best.
Pay attention at 5-10. At some point you’ll set your kid down, not knowing that was the last time you’ll ever hold them.
I’m proud of you both!
My girlfriend did the same thing
This was extremely boring.
why is this on reddit?
My three month old giggled for the first time a few weeks ago and I nearly lost it.
