Back in the 70s my mom did theater in Tallahassee, Boston and off Broadway before pursuing her dreams and moving to West Hollywood. Unfortunately things didn’t go as well as she’d hoped because she was told by directors and casting agents that she wasn’t “black enough”. She ended up with extra parts In a couple made for TV movies and TV shows, and did a few commercials before she ran into another roadblock: Me! She got pregnant and her agent dropped her. During her pregnancy and a few months after she did some voiceover work, which she enjoyed, but decided to be a stay-at-home mom instead. While I’m so grateful she stayed home with me until I reached elementary school because she’s such a great mom, I think Hollywood missed out on this talented bombshell!
If I could time travel, I would totally cast her in a sitcom as the neighbor who is like a hundred times smarter than the main characters.
I’d probably ask her out, too, even though she’s way above my league.
Reminds me of Aaliyah a little bit!
She looks like Jennifer Beals!!
Seeing a little Telma Hopkins, and a little Tracy Ross. Maybe it’s not too late?
