To me, he will always be Super Dave.
What makes it so much funnier is that for those who dont know Curb is a heavily improvised show, each episode has a rough outline, but a lot of the dialogue is up to the actors. So in this scene the only thing in the script was ” Marty tells Jerry a joke” And Bob Einstein just started telling this one , so Jerry’s reaction and his comment at the end is 100% real.
