  • That speech is one of Hollywood’s most embarrassing moments. The mass bullying of an underrepresented minority member is shameful.

    Brando was a pretty unique and powerful performer but more than that he understood the game. It’s playing dress up for a living. It’s art, and it’s valuable, and it matters but as an industry it’s not above accountability and honesty.

    In that clip it’s amazing to hear the way he talks about the importance of representation considering the discussions that are still happening around it today. He was a forward thinking guy both in terms of his own art but also the industry as a whole.

  • It’s great that he rejected the Oscar because he didnt like the stereotypes of native americans in Hollywood

    But didnt he perpetuate the stereotype of italian americans in hollywood?

    Genuinely asking, how is that any different
