Goddammit I missed Sim Town
I miss old school PC games. I was lucky to grow up the era I did. Still remember the days it could take you up to 15 floppy disks to install a game like X-Wing. But you did it. The past time doesn’t have any of that charm anymore. Its too streamlined. There were rituals to the older games. You could hold them in your own two hands. They were better for their unabashed simplicity and the work you had to put into them to learn and play.
Everything is too easy now. There’s no mystique to the hobby anymore. Not edgy or underground like it used to be.
