Irish seaman is the best seaman.
This guy is in for one hell of a trip; and plays a huge part in the eventual rescue of the crew.
Am reading “Endurance” by Alfred Lansing now. It is “don’t want to put it down” good.
My favorite part of the story is when they finally made it back to civilization in 1917 and went “oh, yeah, who ended up winning that big war that started right before we left?”
One of the toughest humans ever to walk this earth. He and the crew flat out refused to die.
Absolute miracle not a one of them perished.
Probably 21 years old in that pic
