I’m 24 and my mindset right now is that having kids is a burden and I can’t help myself but think that in the future, the kids will suffer more. I don’t have the patience to raise kids.
My wife and I are both 50. We’ve been married for 23 years. I got a vasectomy at 27. We have absolutely no regrets. I’d rather regret not having kids, than regret having them.
So many fathers will just hold their thoughts to themselves and only say what is socially “correct”. Well that can’t be good so i don’t do that. I will say out loud that my youngest 3 year old is a pain in the ass. That he’s just a little asshole most of the time. And that is usually my response when they ask me at the office how things are at home. It’s a clear warning to anyone who considers to have kids some day. So I really appreciate your post… And the great artwork! Well done.
I thought this was an ad, then I looked again. Second time around I thought this was a meme, then I looked again. Third times the charm I thought this was a book cover, then I realized it’s all of them above!
I’m freshly auntie and visit my nephew often. He isn’t stinky, vice versa he smells like baby soap and milk. Why people eat babies are stinky. They are stinky a couple of minutes when they just pooped. Clean it and wall good
Twins fresh out the hospital was brutal. I think i slept 20 minutes a day for the first 4 days. They are 7 now Thank The Gods! My coworker was having twins told him find an energy drink you like and a recliner that’s comfortable so you don’t have to get all the way out of bed be sitting up already.
On the other end of a spectrum I have more than 1 kid and I love it! I wish I had them in my 20s rather than 30s.
All these Hollywood movies and pop culture referencing to “your life is over when you have kids” is exactly why only westernised cultures have a declining population.
There is still plenty of spare time when you have kids. Sure there is less. But most of the time, if you are doing things right, you would rather spend time with your kids and family than to do other things
One thing I like to remember on this journey as a Dad of two, is that “The days are sometimes long but the years are short”. I find great joy in the simple things my two daughters do and each discovery and accomplishment they make. My wife and I laugh so much each day because of them. To be a parent, I believe, is the best and hardest thing you can do in life.
Going through this now. 2 hour staggered sleep if I’m lucky. Tired and fatigued. But when I see the kids happy in the morning it really is worth all the stress.
I love the “spoiler” tag
Relatable and I’m only 16
This is why you got to have faith
Is r/childfree leaking?
They come into this world as a wonder of love and then serve as a means of birth control.
It works, as far as I can tell.

Yeet the Child
Twins are really not that bad. It’s kind of incredible how they soothe and entertain each other. It’s been a great experience.

Is that JonTron?!
Kids? Thank you but NO Thank you!
Happily leave it to people who really want kids and have the nerves to raise them.
Reading all the comments as I lay in bed with my wife and cat in a clean house filled with silence.
To each their own but let me say, that double income no kids life is *chefs kiss* amazing.
