It’s pretty enjoyable when you get the hang of it. Nice little game.

Back before games explained themselves lol. Most people get it explained to them by another person. After that, it’s just a matter of learning tricks and minimizing error.

Pretty simple. The numbers are how many bombs are touching it. I could see where this game would be nigh impossible without that bit of knowledge. I used to play all the time when I was younger. It was a good time waster lol.

I always thought the game was stupid. Spider solitary was better.
Am I the only one that used to just click in random spots to clear huge areas and then just randomly click near the bombs until you beat it?

It took me way too long in life to understand this too until my friend showed me how to play in high school after almost 16 years of thinking it was “dumb luck, and why would anyone like this game.”
Now you gotta learn all the tips and tricks to get even better
On windows XP I believe is you set the board size max (999×999 or something), click one space, restart, and do that fast and enough times you will beat it in one click.
The universe won’t allow you to understand until you are a full-grown adult.
Good game but I preferred Nibbler in QBasic.

I played this back in the day. There were a few different ways to do the 100 version in like 3 or 4 moves.
