You can tell someone is an actual alcoholic when just the idea of someone not drinking gets them into some “you think you are better than me?” rant.
Recovering alcoholics are always the worst, just lording how superior they are over everyone. They are like crossfitters or vegans, they just won’t shut up about how they have a problem and if you want to maintain a relationship with them you have to stop constantly pressuring them to drink.
