I really hope they clean house, their corporate culture is supposedly among the best in the industry and I cannot for the life of me understand why they left Kotick in place.
**Court documents reveal 238 gender discrimination and harassment complaints filed against Microsoft**
“Microsoft has received hundreds of harassment and discrimination complaints from female employees in recent years, according to court documents…
Yeah, aside from monopoly fears, this is actually great news for workers. Looks like Phil wasn’t playing when he said he was concerned about the incidents.
I have some friends who work QA for Activision. They won’t let you work long term, something about the contracts makes them work for a stretch and then are not allowed to work for the company for a stretch. Even beyond the sexual harassment stuff they suck.
I really hope for the sake of their employees that MS will clean the house. But there could be also a little chance that some will lose their job during the merge. Maybe? I don’t know, this is just huge in so many ways.
Doubtful, they are inheriting all of the problems. Expect a mass cash out with mass exodus of some CEOs. Most if not all of the premier talent is already gone, not to mention employees who have committed plenty of SAs still reside. They bought it because it profits off bullshit, much like Microsoft is trying to do off Halo Infinite and is failing. That and the American antitrust laws are useless and haven’t been enforced since before Reagan.
Uhhh Bill Gates’ wife left him shortly after the whole maxine ghislaine thing came to light. Probably due to visiting that island. I doubt Microsoft has a much better working environment.
Let’s not deify trillion dollar corporations please and thank you. Let’s be clear, they are not saving activison employees out of the kindness of their hearts, they are cannibalizing activison. And as a bonus they can milk good PR out of it.
While I’m not concerned monopoly wise, I am also wary of seeing Microsoft as “saviors”. They’ve allegedly been pretty hands off regarding their studios. Mostly what seems to change is where the money goes. Hopefully this does bring change to Activision and Blizzard but only time will tell.

It won’t. Maybe Microsoft has a smaller percentage of molester employees but it’s an industry-wide issue
Sell activision and its mindset for parts, rebuild “by gamers, for gamers” blizzard.
Fix wow or make New mmo.
Stop forcing warzone and royales, and neglecting your other players thst think its dull as shit..
Learn from that mistake in wow.. Ruined pvp for pve, to then ruin pve as well….
If people grope other stuff then their red Bull and keyboard fire em and take em to court.
Who gives a shit about their workplace! We just want good games again!
Uhhhh…. maybe in 2 years I’ll own an xbox series x…. and I can play WoW in xbox…
No changes.
All this does is give Microsoft production and licensing rights
I really hope they clean house, their corporate culture is supposedly among the best in the industry and I cannot for the life of me understand why they left Kotick in place.
Here’s hoping for the best…
Is there any evidence that Microsoft isn’t an equally bad shit show?
Narrator: It won’t.
This is the most naive thing I’ve seen in a long time. Kudos.
Oh yeah, now instead they will be unemployed.
Ahem…

Good guy microsoft, eh?

“You either die a villain, or live long enough to become the hero.”
So are we pretending that the whole halo thing didn’t happen now or??
uh lets not be too hasty. M$ isn’t exactly a group of angels. its one corpo eating another. its not good or bad

More like a slave market. One owner to another
“Oh I wouldn’t say free, more like under new management”

Doubt “X”
Can’t wait to hear about how blizzard is only bad because of evil microsoft
Have people forgotten that Microsoft’s workplace isn’t perfect either.
You have saved us
Oh I wouldn’t say freed more like under new management
For everyone wondering if Kotick is out, it would appear so.

Sounds like they fired a lot of those guys are part of the buyout deal
It’s a pretty nice thought my friend, and i want to belive it’s possible
Depends on how much oversight Microsoft gets. Its far bigger now since Microsoft has to manage several studios, not just Activision.
On the otherhand, any bad news will hit Microsoft so they will probably be more vigilant.
Please google Microsoft and workplace harassment.
Lmao fuck Activision
Wtf is this propaganda?
Tell me you’ve never been in a corporate takeover without telling me you’ve never been in a corporate takeover.
All they have to do is not steal breast milk. C’mon, Microsoft, you could stumble over this bar.
Uhhh Bill Gates’ wife left him shortly after the whole maxine ghislaine thing came to light. Probably due to visiting that island. I doubt Microsoft has a much better working environment.
You’re even using a bad game to show this
Ummmm
Not sure this looks good for them:

Although this looks way the fuck worse:

OMG this is so silly. I remember when Microsoft was the evil megacorporation, and i remember when Activision was the good guy upstart.
Let’s not deify trillion dollar corporations please and thank you. Let’s be clear, they are not saving activison employees out of the kindness of their hearts, they are cannibalizing activison. And as a bonus they can milk good PR out of it.
There was literally a scandal about Gates having an affair with an employee that became public like ~12 months ago?

I think in short term it would be better. In long term, A single corporation owning too many of the market could spell troubles.
