This show seemingly came out of nowhere and was one of my favorites last year. Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder are brilliant together and this season looks great.
So excited for Laurie Metcalf joining this season!
One of those rare shows that knew exactly what it wanted to be and who its characters were in the first episode, can’t wait!
Jean Smart is a gem but I got to say Hacks is a show that suffers from the overhype by fans and reviewers who like it, before I watched it I’d seen comments and reviews saying it was “one of the funniest shows on tv” and had “spectacular writing,” it’s a good show but it’s not exactly one of the funniest shows on tv, like even when it’s supposed to be funny (the standup, the joke writing) it’s not particularly hilarious or clever, I wouldn’t call it one of the best written shows on tv either, it’s a good show but I wish people could take shows at face value instead of exaggerating about how one of a kind it is
best hbo max show in my opinion
