I feel like picking “Twilight” for Hardwicke is…weird.
Like, I feel like the film she’s mostly critically known for is Thirteen. That’s the film people associate her name with.
Twilight might have been a bigger gross, but it’s associated with Stephanie Meyers, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, etc. No one really cares about or remembers the name of a director for a franchise like that. They’re treated more like a director for a TV episode — they come in, so the work, but it’s someone else’s story and IP.
But Thirteen was *Hardwicke’s* film. When I hear her name, it’s the first thing I think of.
Is there gonna be one about a universally loved, sweet, quirky film director who inexplicably signed a petition in support of not arresting a man who raped a child

Dropping Twilight in there after Mandy and the Babadook is very funny

Read the post title in the voice of Aaron Mahnke.
This looks awesome! I bought the book and it’s so beautiful and creepy.
I’m watching for my man Andrew Lincoln
Clicked for Ballistic Gel Torso, got hooked after Panos Casmatos. Holy shit, am I excited for this!
The Vigil is a highly underrated horror movie. It’s just spooky and unnerving. Knowing the director is doing one of these episodes? Yep, I am there.

My hope is for this to be successful enough for Netflix to say. “Hey Guillermo, how about that At The Mountains of Madness script you got there…”
This looks so promising by the way, they’re all damn good directors.
