lol i remember going into old gaming rooms and we played the shit out of CS 1.6, Warcraft 3, HL 2 Deathmatch or Quake 3 and we had big ass polystyrene blocks between PC’s to prevent peeking .. if someone peeked, he got a nice slap on back of the neck 😂 or ultimately if he keep cheating peeking someone got fed up and just hard turn off his pc .. good times
Not screen-peeking feels like a newer thing to me. Looking at other players screens was part of playing a multiplayer game. Hell, many games were designed around it, with visually distinct or uniquely coloured areas in things like Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64’s battle mode.
Low on Reddit karma? Just repost this for the 1635th time and title it something nostalgia bait “ahh the good old days amirite?”. r/gaming gobbles it up
Screen watcher was the worst insult between my siblings and cousins
“There is no honor among thieves”
I wanna be a fly on the wall the night before they made this
I bet the significant other of at least one of this group, ended up with another in the group. That’s how deep the trust went.
Screen looker!!!
Ive seen physical fights over screen peaking.

That’s already the Polish version.
It honestly surprises me that no one ever made a product like this. Probably would’ve sold well
Flamengo.
Syphon filter?
Yup I miss local multi-player no one will come over and play anymore
Never understood this… looking at your opponent’s screen doesn’t give you an advantage since… you both can do it.
Only one problem… they’re missing the CRT
Ain’t that old. It’s a flat screen tv
If you aren’t screen cheating, then you deserve to lose
Screen cheating was expected
Nah bro. Screen peep was a legit strategy used by both opposing parties. It is balanced if everyone peeps.

I used a splitter cable so we played on one N64 with two tvs back to back with half the screen covered by paper.
2 v 2 Goldeneye heaven!
Screen looking was legitimate. The only people that complained about it were hypocriticizers, after they got a whoopin.
I can smell the room from here.

Good old days? Flat screen? Am I that old now?
A good chunk of us just screencheated casually without giving a fuck back in the day
Cause literally everyone that was playing (especially with cod gun games) would screencheat
Back when players who can’t multitask would cry because they suck.
