The story is a sequel (historically a prequel) to Kim Han-min’s 2014 movie ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’ which still remains the highest-grossing film in Korea. The story will follow one of Admiral Yi Sun Shin’s most successful battles during the Imjin War (The 7-year Japanese invasion of Korea) : The Battle of Hansan Island, famous for the use of the crane-wing naval formation and the turtle ship.
