Nothing like trying to study and realisng you’ve been staring at the wall for five minutes after reading the first sentence five times.

I don’t have dyslexia, but I do have ADHD. I’d highly recommend checking out the open dyslexic font. I find it helps me process information MUCH easier when reading.

Not everything is an adhd thing, normal people experience this too, maybe it’s just not a very intriguing book

I’m not sure if anyone else can relate to this, but it seems like my brain only absorbs the stuff it wants to when it comes to reading. For example, when I am assigned a book to read for school- I can’t remember the contents of the book even if I read the entire thing 2 times over (taking notes helps)! But, if I read something that I actually want to, I remember the entire thing.

this only happens to me when i read out loud, i struggle to read out loud but can read and understand every thing perfectly fine if i read it normally to myself

I do the same thing with audiobooks. I’ll get distracted and have to hit the back 30 seconds button. Often time I get distracted again by the same thing and have to rewind another time.

I will read 2 or 3 pages of a book and realize I don’t know anything that happened and have to go back and re-read it. Multiple times.

I love when I see a new one pop up.

But I also cringe knowing I’ll see my relationship with my brain so clearly acted out by a cute munchkin brain and a dinosaur.

Because we focused on one word at a time rather than the paragraph as a whole so it didn’t relate to anything else in the paragraph. *next frame* WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!

I swear, every day I feel more and more like I have ADHD lol. I’ve always had these odd quirks and never knew what tf was wrong with me bit I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of ADHD

After the 3rd or 4th time re-reading the page I just give up. I hate that I can’t enjoy reading. I get so irritated forcing myself to refocus every 10 minutes. I have a very vivid imagination, but my brain just gets distracted by anything.

The worst is when I read an awesome sentence, and suddenly I’m thinking about a story of my own that I just created around that sentence. I haven’t read a full book in 12 years

    This hit hard.

I just started my Vyvance prescription and absent-minded reading I notice is something I dont do anymore.
