Jeff Lynne is so fucking good!
I have to admit that in 1976 I was not a huge fan of ELO, different time, different headspace but now, after hearing this again after 46 some years, this kinda choked me up a bit…think I’ll go buy the album!
I saw ELO at the Hollywood Bowl (with full orchestra) about four years ago. Best. Show. Ever.
They were great in the 70’s and apparently have aged quite well. Loved ELO and always felt they were very under appreciated.
I always loved this song, but the way it was used in Billy Madison was priceless. I’ll always think of Steve buscemi putting on lipstick when I hear it.
Absolute banger of a song
