Reverse-gripping any bladed weapon is a poor idea outside of very specific circumstances. You’re taking one of the best qualities of any weapon, their reach, and essentially sacrificing it for very little to no benefit. The farther away you can keep an enemy in any engagement while still being lethal towards them, the better.
