Crazy how there’s so many REAL soulless remakes but no , no let’s try to call RE4 remake soulless when it’s one of the best remakes we ever got in a long time..capcom could’ve DESTROYED this title but they chose to give us a more realistic and better take on an iconic game.

The remake is better in every way imo
It seems like the whole reason its” soulless” is because of the lack of ambience(which its there just not hammering you in the head with it) and sound. Like yeah if i ever visit a castle im gonna suddenly hear Victoria style music all around me non stop

A few years ago, i bought a popcorn maker with a friend. When we did a test run of it, a few kernels didn’t pop. Dude went on a rant for several minutes about how you can’t buy good shit that works anymore, and that this is all a conspiracy by corporations to force you to spend all your money on stuff.
He was also ignoring the bowl of popcorn that we just made.

Watched this video earlier today and they tried their best to make the Remake look as lame as possible, but the bias felt so strong that it made the video barely tolerable. Someone is reaching hard for views, remake is amazing btw.
If you want a soulless remake look no further than resident evil 3 remake.
I think everyone is entitled to an opinion. But I think this kind of video is pretty indicative of a lot of criticism I see from some people nowdays. People judge new things and compare it to their nostalgia when they played something 20 odd yrs ago. Also People should remember that these kinds of remakes will become important to the newer generation of players and fanbases. And to them its going to emulate how something 20 yrs ago felt playing a classic first time when those things were new.
At this point people just call older stuff better because of nostalgia and expect everyone to always agree

I hate the crowbcat, he’s one the reason why people criticize games without play or a good reason, just take a clip without context compare with something and say “hey guys this game is not good, because is not like this” and forget the part about game being fun

I mean, not feeling as good or fun is a weird thing to call soulless. It’s just a slightly not as good game, but still very good overall. I really enjoyed the remake and some of the changes and other stuff I liked the original on. They were both great.
I think Crowbcat is such a crap YouTuber. Even a while back in his Lawbreakers video did I dislike his habit of a hot take titles that isn’t at all argued with his edited clips.

I’ve always stuck with crowbcat because I agree with some of their videos, obviously I disagree with a lot (this one as well) but this is kind of making me have doubts
I love crowbcat and I’m glad their video is creating discussion, I watched most of it and honestly I get the point, there is definitely a feel, an atmosphere, that has been compromised somewhat. I won’t know until I finish the game, but yeah, the thing is it isn’t major, and crowbcat didn’t try to say it was major, just highlight the differences.
Hard to remake a game to make it hold up to modern standards, but also retain 100% of the original appeal and vibe.
Treat it as a separate entity. A remake never has to be the definitive version of an experience, the same as there are remastered albums I avoid.
I just wish they would have put in half the effort of this one into the remake of 3.
