My all time favourite car racing game is NFS hot pursuit 2 and would love to see a remaster for that
Nah, they don’t even need to be remasters, just a non open world sequel. The cars and levels weren’t really what was most memorable, just the gameplay. Or hell, just take the revenge online system from the 360 and apply it to every game. The game was great when it reminded you “hey, you played with this rando before, and he took you out twice last time. just sayin'” it was great towards the end of the life of the game and you actually would encounter the same people repeatedly.
More games need to build rivalries like that

Sadly EA won’t do it, since their strategy nowadays is to put all their eggs into the few most profitable and marketable games and call it a day, killing many great franchises and studios in the process.

I mean burnout 3 was great, but the best racing game in the aspect of arcady racing games is gt4 imo. Of course it’s your opinion, just wanted to share my opinion too.
I don’t think the series getting a remaster is a good idea, knowing EA. Besides, the genre of arcade racers isn’t as relevant anymore.
Music licences would be impossible at this point half the bands don’t exsist
