I know
What a fucking great dude. Im devastated that he had to leave us. Rest in peace Bob. Love you
This is how my family has always operated. My parents raised me with the philosophy that you never know when will be the last time you see someone. Better to have your last words to them be “I love you” than something else you might regret.
Bob, we love you and we miss you. Tell Betty we love her too
RIP man
Yup. I’m crying.
I hope many of his friends and loved ones last words to him were they love him.
My brother made it a trend in the family to say I love you when we say goodbye. It’s a great fucking thing.
Had to start with Louie too!! RIP to them all.
What did bob die of?
Made visiting the proctologist pretty awkward. Nice dude though.
First one: Louie Anderson
Damn, OP. already sobbing
I love ya, Bob.
Edit: I’ll never forget his audition for Uncle Jesse’s new band and he shredded as “Mildew”.
Turns out he was a real funny guy too.
Thank you.
This is something I really make an effort to do. You never know when a goodbye can be your last.
Made the mistake of skipping his show a few years ago while staying At Foxwoods. AFHV was my childhood. This hurts.
– ok, so one big mac and a coke. Anything else, sir?
– no, that’s it! I love you
– uhhh..
Bob Saget: Hey I’d like to have two large pepperoni and a big coke
Pizza place: Will that be all sir?
Bob: Yeah that’s all
Pizza:That will be 15.99$
Bob: Ok, I love you
Pizza: Uuuuuh… I love you too sir
Bob: Uuuuh ok
All I can think, is this is what people who survive addiction and recover turn into. You will not ever find a more sincere person than someone who realizes they have a second chance at life. The world becomes a place that you can have a positive impact on. RIP Bob.
This is one of the best things I’ve seen in a good bit ❤ From one Bob to another, I love you man. Rest peacefully
“I hope you have a great next moment, and I’ll talk to you a moment after that”
Welcome to Costco.
Aww, he was a Boyle cousin
Now I’m crying again. Bob and Louie, so close together.
Sigh, oh well. I guess I’ll follow his example (I do already in real life): love you all, Reddit users.
Mind you, he also *started* a lot of conversations with lines from “The Aristocrats”, so there’s that….
“Bob Saget is one of the greatest anything ever.”
Truer words have never been spoken. ❤
This is truly heartwarming.
I’m the same way because my father did. To make a long story short my father lost his aunt and he always regretted not saying I love you before he left so that it was the last thing she heard from him and i really liked it so I too do this and it was the last thing my father heard from me before he accidentally OD.
After John Ritter died, I remember watching the next episode of 8 Simple Rules where they addressed his death and I remember Kaley Cuoco’s character being devastated because she had a fight with him before he died and the last thing she had said was as a part of the fight. That left an indelible impression on me and since then I always tell my parents I love them every day. I’ve since expanded where any chance I get, I make sure to tell those important to me as well.
It’s really cool to see Bob did this as well. From the words of his close friends and fellow comedians, he seemed like a genuinely great person and this just adds to that.
Is there any explanation of this relationship Bob Saget has with others? This looks like the kind of thing that experts and wise people cultivate among their friendships. How did he do it? And don’t tell me they’re all actors! That’d be disappointing!
I was just thinking about him. He was so sweet <3
2022 has taken some true treasures. Ready for a new year.
One of the last texts Norm Macdonald sent out was to Bob and it said I love you.
“Two weeks ago, he texted me, ‘How are you? What are you doing? Are you doing stand-up?’ And I answered him with much too many words. And then I didn’t hear back. And then last week I got a text and just said, ‘I love you.’ I didn’t say much back. I just said, ‘I love you, Norm.’ And that was my last communication with him.”

You had to open it with Louie and ended it with Norm? My favorites are dying off.
Never? I feel like Saget could do a bit about this post title.
“Look, I realize the tree has some roots in your yard, but I’m gonna hire lawyers if you think you’re gonna cut it down. And no, that wasn’t my dog that shit in your yard, I don’t even have a dog! I love you.”

Again
Welcome to Costco…
It was a really great experience growing up with Full House and AMFV Bob Saget (as a child not knowing he had more range than wholesome humor) and then seeing the other better half of his career afterwards.
I think it’s great when I hear people doing this. I wish I was better at this. I wish I said this more to just my friends.
There is a podcast I listen to (Random but Memorable) where the 3 hosts always finish the show by saying that they love each other. This is a tech podcast about online security…but every show “All right, I love you both, take care” and so on. It’s so heartwarming.
It’s important to tell people that you love them. You never know the last time you’ll get to tell them.
Hearing him talk about how him and different people will see each other in person soon got me.
Just a genuinely wonderful man.
I wasn’t expecting to cry today but here I am
