Isn’t that how it works though? I have little time in the series and most of that was in the minigames…
That is what you do in those games
Katamari kind of felt like that since the ball never really moved from the camera. It felt like you were moving the earth under the ball.

Oh, definitely! I remember playing Super Smash Bros as a kid and thinking I was controlling the platform rather than the characters. It can be a bit confusing, but I think that’s what made those games so immersive and enjoyable!
