Classic 80’s
According to interviews, the Wilson sisters now have nothing but contempt for this era in their musical history.
Ronn Nevison as producer. They may look back on this era with disdain but it lined their pockets with gold at the time. I’d bet the royalties for these songs are still worth a handsome sum.
Classic ‘Big Hair’ era video.
Forgive how this sounds… but I was cool in the 80’s and this was embarrassingly terrible (the video, not the song) then.
Hard to beat Heart.
I remember some controversy around this time as to whether “chick bands” were real rockers. The Go-Gos and the Bangles were examples of not being hard rock. The Wilsons and Chrissie Hynde had a harder edge, but I remember they all caught some shit. 80s was a weird decade, parachute pants and vanilla ice, Thomas Wolfe and cocaine. Jfc.
this was a Monster Hit
I love Heart in all of their incarnations. I think maybe a lot of younger people may cringe at these videos but this was representative of a lot of the 80’s and early 90’s. Man, I miss the old MTV.
