Impressive she was even able to replicate some of the cracking in the high notes. This song always gets my skin crawling.

It’s interesting that what struck me later in the song was no guitar. The guitar in the beginning is there, but Gilmour wasn’t part of the rest of the song? Just something I hadn’t noticed.

The story behind this track is pretty fascinating. The band basically had a jam that they weren’t sure what to do with. Clare Torry (e: fixed spelling) was brought in, did a few improvised takes, and that was that. She later explained that she had no idea the album would become such a hit.

The musicianship, outstanding. The singing, was supernatural. This cover is magnificent.
