2019’s Control still has some of the most Bonkers environment physics ive ever seen in a game.

One of the very few, if not only games that I hate the map but think it works with the maze themes of the game.
James, were you the creator of this video? Be honest.
It is amazing how bad the controls are given its name
I’m a huge fan of Remedy and though the abrupt ending caught me off guard, the Ultimate Edition adding the 2 DLCs on the end (with the fantastic Alan Wale crossover) make this game fantastic.
I regret not picking this up when it was free twice..
THIS GAME IS LITERALLY MIND BLOWING
The Oldest House is the real star of this game.
Kind of like if the TARDIS was an office in Mad Men, staffed by people from the X Files.
Had more fun jedi powers than Jedi: Fallen Order, in my humble opinion
i actually ruined that part he was talking about “being cool” because i had the music slider all the way down to 0. so i just walked through what was supposed to be accompanied with music, i feel like i robbed myself of that moment.
I wish I could get a GPU to play this. I have it in my library. Just waiting for an RTX.
The jukebox challenges are awesome.
Its not that good.
1:02 she pulls a bunch of concrete out of the floor from under her.
The floor is unchanged. It’s just particles.
This is the case with virtually all the thrown objects.
Yeah, the walls shift sometimes but you aren’t, as a player, doing any of that deformation.
Edit: why the fuck am i being downvoted? Everything I said was true.
I need a sequel to this game so bad.
The combat in this game almost never stops. I get they have this big world to fill, but I feel like they were just spawning in more dudes to kill every few minutes. Maybe it’s just me but when I kill a bunch of enemies I don’t want to be rewarded with more enemies. It becomes tedious and it’s been a while since I played Alan Wake but I feel like they did a similar thing there too. The dialogue was weird sometimes too like the script didn’t match the intent or situation, which is especially true in the beginning but becomes clearer as the story progresses.
Hopefully, they can tone it down a bit for the horror sequel they’re working on. The Alan Wake DLC they added was pretty good and the monster in it was well designed.
I finished this game a couple days ago. It’s definitely a trip and probably in my top 5 favorites of all time.
The environments are incredible. Really reminded me of Portal 2 levels where you go to the old Aperture. Your character feels tiny and inconsequential compared to the large offices and testing facilities. It was super cool.
This game also has the best implementation of Ray Tracing graphics to date.
If you are at all into retro gaming, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy on PS2 still has the best telekinesis themed game elements I’ve ever seen and it had a whole host of other cool psychic based abilities too.
Such a great game to play through.
The ashtray maze, best gaming moment in many years and it’s a sidequest, goosebumps through the whole section
I got pretty far into this one but, never finished it.. maybe I should go finish it….
Cool atmosphere but man does it have issues. The biggest annoyance I had was the audio was screwed up cutscenes. No explosions or gunfire and the characters subtitles were way out of sync.
the shitty map ruined it
lmao what a horrible reviewer. please don’t post him again!
For a game with such amazing physics, you would think they would have a jump animation when “holding” and object.
Looks like one of those free games I picked up on Epic who knows when and never touched. Guess I’m giving it a go.
The ashtray maze is probably one of the best pieces of map design ever done in a game. Absolutely breathtaking.
My sense of time is completely gone, I can’t believe this game came out in 2019 what the fuck
Best game of 2019 don’t @ me.
Still remember seeing a super early trailer for this game and immediately thinking “yeah this is gonna be fire,” and making note of remembering it when it released. Guess I can still call em. Amazing sense of power progression too, you start off as a pretty basic 3PS character with light PK abilities and end up as fuckin Jean Grey flying around sowing unhinged destruction everywhere you look.
My one main criticism is some unfortunate checkpointing issues that accentuate a somewhat rocky difficulty curve where you’ll run into one particular encounter/boss that fucks you up repeatedly with pretty cheap stuff but has a very long runback each time.
Very interesting. With just a quick clip I can see what the game has to offer, and am looking forward to making a purchase.
Thank you Reddit ™️
I enjoyed watching my friend play this. The ash can seen he’s talking about was one of the coolest things ive seen in any media recently.
I cant play 3d games like that very well so i just chill amd watch my friends play them.
>r/videos is not a platform for you to promote your own content
this guy submitted his own content 9 days ago and now this? do mods do anything?
Hmm I have this game but never played it. Should give it ago at some point
