Yhe way the release of Fallout 4 was handled (and the game iteself) blew my mind. I’m also a big Arkham and Pillars of Eternity fan, it was a good year.

I would say 2004-2005 was the best year all around.
You could make just a longa list of games equal in the quality for any year, give it the most karma farming title you can think of and get it to the top of this subreddit.
